Bronze Canine Good Citizen

A 6 week course covering walking on a loose lead amongst people and dogs, recalling to handler, owner understanding of responsibility and care,  basic commands, polite greetings, control at a door/gate, stay, grooming and examination of the dog.


This course is 5 weeks of tuition with the exam on week 6.

Tuesday Evenings at Binfield Memorial Hall - 7.45 - 8.45 pm - 

6th, 13th, 20th, 27th September & 11th, 18th October

Sunday Mornings at Binfield Memorial Hall - 12.30 - 1.30

11th, 18th, 25th September & 2nd, 16th, 23rd October

Silver Canine Good Citizen

The silver award aims to build on the skills learned in the bronze award while increasing the level of difficulty. It is a natural progression of practical dog training skills and introduces new concepts such as greeting a friend, vehicle control and a road walking exercise which are vital in everyday life situations.

Gold Canine Good Citizen

The gold award is the highest level of achievement within the scheme awards. It builds upon the skills learnt in the silver award and develops more advanced training skills of the dog and handler. The gold award introduces new concepts such as sending a dog to bed, relaxed isolation, an emergency stop and heelwork off the lead, all of which provide greater understanding and control.
